OISC was founded February 17, 2008 by Rev. Susan Guimond and Rev. Helen Roach. 

Rev. Susan Guimond, Senior Pastor

Rev Susan Guimond is  a 3rd generation spiritualist, ordained in 2003 after 5 years as a student minister – trained at Camp Chesterfield Indiana – Arthur Findlay College in England, and the International Spiritualist Federation in the UK. Rev Guimond was Pastor of Christian Spiritualist Church for 3 years, then moved to start the Ottawa Interfaith Spiritualist Church and was pastor for 8 years.

Rev. Helen Roach, Pastor

IMG_1639-1 copyRev Helen Roach has been involved with spiritualism for approximately 15 years. She holds the position of Vice-President of the OISC Board of Directors, certified in Therapeutic Touch, facilitates in Closed Circles, courses and workshops on mediumship development. She received her training at the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England and the International Spiritualist Federation in the UK.
She is deeply committed in spreading spiritualism and the message she wishes to convey is that there is life after the change called death.

Rev. Matthew Stapley, Assistant Pastor

Matthew Stapley has been a practicing professional psychic-medium in the Ottawa area for the past 12 years.  He has hosted two successful television series and has been featured in countless interviews in various media platforms.  He is also an inspirational speaker and has provided many sold-out mediumship demonstrations throughout Eastern Ontario and Quebec. Rev. Stapley is down-to-earth, compassionate and understanding.

He received his ordination as a spiritualist minister at the age of 28 through the Church of Spiritual Wisdom in Etobicoke.
