OISC was founded February 17, 2008 by Rev. Susan Guimond and Rev. Helen Roach.
Rev. Susan Guimond, Senior Pastor
Rev Susan Guimond is a 3rd generation spiritualist, ordained in 2003 after 5 years as a student minister, trained at Camp Chesterfield Indiana, Arthur Findlay College in England, and the International Spiritualist Federation in the UK. Rev Guimond was Pastor of Christian Spiritualist Church for three years, then moved to start the Ottawa Interfaith Spiritualist Church.

Rev. Helen Roach, Pastor
Rev Helen Roach has been involved with spiritualism for over 20 years. She holds the position of Vice-President of the OISC Board of Directors, is certified in Therapeutic Touch, and facilitates in Closed Circles, courses and workshops on mediumship development. She received her training at the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England and the International Spiritualist Federation in the UK. She is deeply committed in spreading spiritualism and the message she wishes to convey is that there is life after the change called death.
